A MESSAGE FROM EVO:

To our guests and the Maine community, we want to share that we are standing with our fellow Portland businesses that are closing this Friday in support of our immigrant neighbors who enrich our city and our country. While we will remain open for our regular dinner service on Friday 1/30, we are united with our community in care, solidarity, and respect. We will be donating 10% of our profits that day to the Maine Immigrant Rights Coalition.

We are supporting Maine Needs as they respond to a rise in requests for essential items from impacted neighbors. Below, you will find ways to help, including an option to donate gift cards so families and individuals can purchase exactly what they need.

Thank you for any support you are able to offer our community and neighbors.

WAYS TO HELP

We are collecting Visa and Walmart gift cards in $25 increments at our restaurants this weekend to support Maine Needs. Gift cards may be handed directly to our GMs, and all donations will be delivered to Maine Needs next week to help provide essentials for impacted neighbors.

ABOUT MAINE NEEDS

Maine Needs is a community-driven nonprofit that connects generosity with urgent material needs across Maine. They help individuals and families who are facing hardship by providing essentials like clothing, hygiene products, household items, and specially assembled kits. They work with social service partners to get these resources where they’re needed most.

On their Make a Kit page you’ll find a list of what specific kits they are requesting at this time, such as household or toiletry essentials, or art kits for kids.

On the Donations page, Maine Needs shares what items they are currently collecting — from clothing and household goods to cleaning supplies and toiletries — along with donation drop-off hours and guidelines so your gifts can be sorted and distributed effectively.

We’re proud to support Maine Needs and grateful for the work they do to make sure no one in our community goes without the basics
